She Lives, Updates & News...

I hope you lovelies are still with me here on this little bloggy blog. I have been so MIA it's really pretty bad. I took a week off to spend time with family and friends in So-Cal, and the time there kept me busy by all means. I flew in last Monday and was there until early Sunday morning so I had to move fast.

I tried to visit with as many peeps as I could but it was a really short time crunch, especially with everyone's schedules and with me only being in town one day of the weekend. It was a great trip, exhausting, but good. I caught up with a couple friends, went to the OC Fair, which I love, had some wonderful mother-daughter time and of course went to the beautiful memorial service in honor of Ryan's grandpa. I also was able to catch-up with my bro & sis in law and play with their beautiful baby boy Matteo.
Speaking of the OC Fair I just have to show you pics. Yeah the fair always cracks me up and grosses me out, but it's kind of a tradition for my friends and I. I went with my good friend Daniel and we were horrified to find deep fried butter on the menu this year! Yeah before it was deep fried oreos, deep fried twinkies, this year deep fried butter. Um no thanks!

Oh how I love home and miss it, there's really nothing like it. Before I knew it, it was time to head on back here to FL, but before I left I received a phone call while still in Cali from a company back here in FL. About a week before I left for Cali I went on and interview, after the interview I completely did not, I repeat did not think I got the job. I felt my interview was okay, but nothing to impressive. I actually beat myself up for the way I answered one of the questions. Well, apparently they were impressed because that company that I thought had no faith in me wanted to hire me! I was so excited and actually couldn't believe it to be honest with you. It's really a great job for the area that hubs and I are living in now.

As of this past Monday, I have a job hence my MIA-ness. It's not that I haven't wanted to blog, because believe me I have. It's just that I haven't had the time. It's my first week at my new job and I've been quite the busy bee setting up shop at my new digs. I can't exactly take up blogging now at the new place. Then by the time I get home, I'm tired of staring at my computer all day and want to spend my limited free time now with the husband, kitty, eat some dinner, workout, maybe get some tv in and basically go to bed. I have not been working mind you for quite some time like for about 3 mos. to be exact so it's been taking some time to get my balance back and get used to 8 hours at a computer all day again.

However, I am ever so grateful that our little prayers have been answered about a job for me. I'm happy with the position, it's working for a non-profit. I'm the exec assistant for the president of the company and I'm also doing marketing, advertising and public relations type things too. But oh boy, already I'm missing hanging out with my new friends that I've met through church, lounging by the pool, having leisure workouts on my time, reading, movies and just plain relaxing. Oh well though back to the real world, and when I get my first paycheck, that's when I'll really be smiling. I've kind of been putting myself on a budget since I wasn't working, but now I'll feel better buying a little something here and there for myself.

Oh and already, I get a mini-vacay. That's right just a little one. The hubs and I are celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary this Sunday, Aug 1st! To celebrate we're going back to Destin, FL for 3 nights and 4 days of sun and fun. I'm taking Monday off for this and the hubs and I are going to be pampered and have a spa day, eat some yummy food and just reminisce about our wedding day a year ago! I almost can't even believe that it's been a year, wow how things have changed. Anywho, that is where I've been lovely ladies. Thank you all for your love and support in my adventures of finding a job. I hope to continue to post as much as I possibly can, when I can, but please forgive me that my posts likely won't be as frequent. Again time somehow just isn't on my side anymore these days. Lots of love, until next time!
