Dum, dum, dum... June marked me being out of high school for 10 years! 1o people! Yup I graduated high school in 2000, the year of the dreaded Y2K remember that? I do in a lot of ways as if it was yesterday. Do you remember the days in high school when you never really saw past high school? It was so far in the distance, you never really REALLY thought about it. That was the time everyone had major goals for what I'll be doing in 10 years.
Well it's been 10 yrs. and I do have plenty to show for it. I've accomplished the things I knew I would; graduating college, getting married, traveling, learning more, and having decent jobs. However there is still plenty to do; have babies, get settled, buy a house, and many more big decisions. I think these 10 years have been average, nothing to get down on myself about but then again nothing monumental. Even though I'm not completely where I thought I'd be, I'm happy and that's all that counts, I'm in a good place, very blessed and have great people that love me....And just for fun I googled some of the fashion trends that were in style during my years in high school from 96-00. What did I come up with? Lots of things I should have left in my past. I did not participate in all of these mind you. Here are some of my faves. That dates me a bit huh wow at least I lived it.
1.) Airwalks
2.) Overalls!
3.) Platform sneakers yeah why?

I graduated in '03, but I remember all those styles from around my freshman and sophomore years. Especially the butterfly clips. Oh my gosh, I probably had 500 of those things lying around the house, and I found any number of ways to style my hair with them. lol...I thought they were sooo cute back then! haha...and the platform sneakers? Guilty of that one, too. Everybody and their mother had a pair of those...what were we thinking?! lol. It's fun to look back, though :-)
I was in middle school when all of those were "da bomb" ;)
