I'm Here, I'm Alive, Hope you Haven't Given up on Me...

Hi guys, so Blogger just told me the last time I wrote a post was June 18th! How terrible I have been, what's come over me? This is so out of character for me, somehow one day turned in to another and another and well you get the idea. I was so good about posting everyday for awhile there. I hope you're all still with me. I wish I had some spectacular ground breaking news on why I've been away. Say the dream job of my life, or we inherited a fortune or I opened up my own franchise haha. Um, yeah, but that's not the case. Life has just been life and each day has brought on it's own events, but nothing earth shattering. Of course I've thought about writing every now and then, but there were times when I had nothing, zip, zero. I've been keeping busy which is a big part of why I've been away.

Let's see first off the parentos were here for 10 days! They kept me and the hubs busy, and we so enjoyed their time here. It was their first time ever visiting FL, yet alone the city we moved to, just like us when we first moved here. We spent much of the time eating, shopping, exploring, cleaning, swimming, you name it. We enjoyed seeing their expressions as they learned that we live in a very southern part of FL. We tried to tell them, but they just didn't get it until they saw it for themselves.

Then we went on our little adventure to New Orleans or N'awlins as I've come to learn is what many call it. Wow guys there were lots of stories that I could go into detail about, but I just might save that for another day. The culture and people are so unique and I've never seen anything like it before, unless you count New Orleans Square at Disneyland ha, so not the same.

What else? Oh so hubs and I have really gotten involved in our new church. It's pretty awesome. Everyone there is so welcoming and if we hadn't found it we would be 2 unhappy, bored people. The church is awesome, each weeks message is great, and we look forward to each Sunday, but not only that I've joined a women's Bible study, Young Marrieds group I spoke about before, looking to get into Sunday School and will be volunteering for Vacation Bible School in a couple weeks. Through the Young Marrieds we have met the sweetest couples. Lots of them are from all over just like us. There are couples from CA, Colorado, North Carolina, and Arizona just to name a few. Like I said before it's a huge military city so people are always coming and going. The great thing is that there's a goup of us all got here within a month or 2 of each other. So we're all in the same boat, going through the same things, learning about a new city, adjusting, and just trying to make friends.
Unfortunately we also got some bad news also during my time away. Ryan's grandfather passed away. It happened fairly quickly he got anemia, then needed blood transfusions and then it turned into pneumonia. We're all still upset about it, but are happy that he did live a long, happy life. So this month we're going back home to CA for the memorial service. It's bittersweet, we're happy that we get to go home, but wish it was for better reasons.

Last night we had a barbeque together and then went for fireworks after. It was definitely a memorable 4th. So that's what I've been up to for the most part. Oh and of course still job searching. Maybe I'm being a little picky, but I've come to realize this time not working is a blessing. A blessing to not necessarily need to find just anything right away, but to be more particular. This also means more hangout with new friends time.

So I hope you're all doing well, I'm glad to be back to the blog world again and I can't wait to catch up on all of your lives just as quickly as I can. I took some pictures of New Orleans and when I stop being so lazy about it I'll be sure to upload. I'm off to go dive head first into your blogs!
