1. Frozen Yogurt-what the heck is up with this I ask you? It's humid and hot as all can be, but yet hubs and I haven't found a single frozen yogurt place out here except a lame-o TCBY which doesn't count cause it's not a fun pick your own/serve your own toppings and flavors kind of place. You order from like 2 flavors and they put the toppings on for you. What's the fun in that? We so miss this, and we already have several locations in mind for our franchise you know by the mall, by the college out here, the junior college.
2. Um good Mexican food -I'm sorry guys but what I've tried out here just hasn't cut it compared to the Mexican food I know and love back home. I was so excited to try this one place and when I took my 1st bite I spit it out. Yeah it was that bad. I couldn't even finish the rest so I tossed it. I know it was wasteful, but seriously inedible. Yuck. So hubs and I would like to franchise our fave Rubio's. We figure you can't go wrong with a chain because no matter where you are the food always tastes exactly the same. Oh baja fish tacos how you're missed.
3. Chicken Maison - Oh yum! I guarantee none of you are familiar with this place because it's not a franchise, there's only 3 locations in CA and I hadn't even heard of it until hubs. It's basically fast Mediterranean food, but it's oh so much more. Hubs brought it home from me one day from work at his old job in CA and I was completed hooked. This coming from the girl who rarely likes Mediterranean food so that says something. We tried making a #17 Maison Special last night and it was pretty darn close to the original. Since we can't get it anymore I think we'll have this in our regular menu rotation.
4. A CPK and a Cheesecake Factory - Yes I know it's called CPK, but FL can have a little CPK love right. That's right we'll bring one here too, and Cheesecake Factory. I'm assuming there's a Cheesecake Factory somewhere here in FL, but it's a big state and there isn't one in our vicinity. We'll start one here too.

Yup with all our franchises we'd be doing pretty well. Is there any franshise you would want to own?

I have been to a CF in both Miami and Orlando, so I know they exist!! And there is at least one CPK in Orlando!
I know how you feel, this teeny town we live in has nothing. Chilis and a few places that have drive-thrus. We went to a mexican restaurant that everyone told us was the "best in town"..um their idea of fresh salsa was ketchup with crushed red pepper flakes from a spice jar. Me thinks not. ::pouts and stamps foot::
See now in PA we don't have CPK or Cheesecake Factory but they were just down the road when we lived Orlando...ahhh the memories!!
Aww, I'm sorry your missing things! I'm sure you would make a killing if you were to open any of those places :)
Florida does have good Fro-yo places, we have like five like your talking about in Tallahassee. And as for CPK & Cheesecake Factory, the closest ones to us is in Jacksonville, Atlanta (GA), or Birmingham (AL). The rest are in South Florida. I've never heard of the other places but they sound yummy too! :)
No CPK or Cheesecake factory! WOW!! Are you close to Fudpuckers? They have the best fried pickles ha:) I can't believe next to the beach there is no frozen yogurt places! That's crazy!!
You're in luck! There are a ton of CPKs and Cheesecake Factory in Florida! Also, Florida has frozen yogurt! There is a place called Yogen Fruz which has great frozen yogrut! Just gotta look around! :)
I would not be happy without a CPK! My favorite!!!
We don't have any good Frozen Yogurt places in Portland that I know of and if we do I'm missing out!
CPK and Cheesecake Factory are two of my favorite places! Yum!!!!!!!!!
Yum... I'd love to have a Lambert's up here in Indy (home of the throwed rolls!)
If I owned a franchise I'd want it to be Lenny's sub shop - their sandwiches are so darn good!
Frozen Yogurt...yum! They just opened up a Red Mango where I live (College Station, TX). My friend said that Red Mango started out in CA. Have you ever been there? Every summer we go to Destin, Florida and when I get back home to TX the first thing I do is go eat some Mexican food. I love me some Tex-Mex!!! :)
So you can move to Texas or Dallas because we have almost everything on your list! I am sure you will find some wonderful things to fall in love with while you are in Florida. Who knows your favorite things might be migrating from Cali through Texas and are on the way to Florida next!
I have to say, down here in Gainesville, we have all that stuff (except the fast Mediterrean) I'm so disappointed in the Panhandle with you! We have fro-yo on every corner! And a CPK and a Cheesecake factory! I don't get why they don't!
1. We fatties enjoy our full fat ice cream! FroYo is like drinking skim milk when you've been brought up on whole!! :-)
2. The Mexican food DOES suck here! We have a place we LOVE, but we've not really had true Mexican food often, so we're plenty used to it. You'd figure we'd have a good one with the way the Hispanic population is growing, but no go.
3. The only times I had CPK & the Cheesecake Factory were in Hawaii and I completely agree - they need many many more locations!!
4. Two things I don't think they have out West that they definitely should: chicken bog & low country boil! The two coasts should arrange some sort of food trade!
We've got a CPK in Tennessee, so I'm sure you can make it happen where you live. :)
And no fro yo in (NW) Florida? Isn't that like blasphemy or something?
I totally think that the Pacific Northwest is also lacking in the frozen yogurt and good Mexican food department too!
Oh my goodness...I LOVE (!!!!!) Froyo!!!
The no frozen yogurt is a crime!! Esp in hot weather!
And, we even have CPK up here in the Northeast. AND cheesecake factory- I dont have one in NH, but I always went to it when I lived in MA. YUM!
wow I can't believe they don't have a good fro yo place! I definitely vote on you two opening a franchise! That would be awesome and you'd get a million thank you letters I bet :)
I wish we had a Cheesecake Factory, and a Jamba Juice in our area...we just recently got self serve yogurt shops in our area, and I love them. :)
