Fab Friday, Q&A Pat I...

Happy Friday yay! I'm off work today thank goodness. We have furlough days that we have to use once a month and today is mine. It worked out because I've been sick for the last couple of days so I could use my rest. Thanks for sending in so many questions for the Q&A. I was pleasantly surprised to receive so many. In fact after writing some of my answers I realize I'm going to have to break it down into parts, so not to bore you all. You all sure had some great ones for me. I hope you enjoy Part I of this Q&A.

My question is: Where is your ideal place to live?

Hubs and I are warm weather people. You've heard me talk about that I'm a big baby when it comes to anywhere cold so I don't think we could handle a cold-weathered city. We like the sun and the beach. Our ideal place would be Hawaii. We love the island life and laid back culture of it all. We're not big city people. We like to visit but then get away when we want.

When are you and hubby gonna have a baby?

We definitely want kids, but when the time is right. We want to be stable in our careers and settled first before kids come around. We don't have a specific time in mind but I will say it will be sooner rather than later. We still want to be young parents.

1. Well I know how you and the hubs met, but I'd love to hear the story behind it!
This could get long, but I'll try to make it short and maybe I'll write about it in more detail later. I had been dating plenty of losers in my life sadly, and had recently broken up with a guy I thought I was going to marry. I was frustrated and tired of dating the same old type of guys. I was kind of at a point in my life where I was getting older and was over the whole club scene. I was done with college and really wanted to find a great guy so I started researching online dating sites. I signed up for match.com and perused the selection of guys that lived in my area. Shortly after I started talking and instant messaging these guys. I talked with several of them, but only met up with 2. One day hubs contacted me through email. I read his profile and liked what I read and saw. What really got us talking was that we were both working at the same college at the time. Him in Athletics and me in a different area. Although we were both working on the same campus, we had never met. We finally agreed to meet up and we had such a good time. I think it only took about 3 or 4 dates until we became boyfriend and girlfriend. We moved in together at 3 months, he proposed at 9 months and we were married a year and a half later. I'm so happy. Life has a way of working out. People always tell us we should contact match to be on a commercial!

2. If you could have any job in the world, what would it be? Ooh this is a tough one! Hmm... I have always loved artistic things and visual things. If I could I would design my own clothing line, and have my own cute little store. I would also love to be a graphic designer or interior decorator or even if I was talented enough a photographer. I also love makeup so having my own makeup line with adorable packaging would be amazing too. So yeah any of the above. I would also love to run a cute little bakery. As you can see I'm all over the place with this one.

3. If you could swap lives with any celebrity, who would it be? This is another tough one! I love Gwen Stefani's little family I think they are adorable. I think it would be fun to be her for a day, and just be out there. They all seem like they are really happy together and don't have much drama in their lives. Ooh I know this sounds bad, but if only I could be a VS model for just one day sigh.

Do you have a job? Yes I do. I work at a college, which one I won't say. I am the program coordinator for the Overnight Host Program. I work with high school students, outreach groups, high schools and other groups on setting up visits for overnight trips to campus. I also oversee groups that are staying in our facilities in the summer, by checking them in/out doing billing, placing them in rooms and much more. Before this position I worked on the same campus booking conferences and events that happend in the Residential Halls on campus. Basically I do a lot.

What do you like to do for fun?There's lots of things I like to do for fun. I'm not a party every night type of girl. I'd much rather have a night in relaxing at home that partying somewhere. I love spending time with my family (both hubs and mine), shopping with the girls, reading, going to the movies, traveling, going to comedy clubs, going to church, and I still love Disneyland.

What great talent have you always wished that you could have?! I guess the one talent that I wish I could have would be to be trilingual. I've always wanted to be fluent in a variety of languages. I also wish I knew how to play an istrument.
